        Woodwindist /educator / lecturer /  author / jazz, r&b, gospel musician / recording artist / is a Washington D.C. native currently residing in Atlanta, Ga.  A veteran of the Joe Tex, Ike and Tina Turner, Bobby  "Blue" Bland,  Johnnie Taylor, etc.,   r&b bands ; Jaki Byard, Tommy Stewart and the New Jazz Collective big band, Dan Whitner & Friends, Glenn BarBour Quartet & Sextet, BarBour/Luke Jazz Quartet, etc.

        Received formal training at Berklee  College  of Music,  Northeastern University,  Georgia State University,  ultimately earning  two PhD.s : Columbia Pacific  University (ethnomusicology), and Walden University (music education),  respectively.

        Primary instruments:  Baritone  Saxophone and Bass Flute,  but also perform on tenor,  alto, and soprano saxophone, C  flute,  clarinet, and bass clarinet.
